Day 17 Sun 1st April

Cobar to Dubbo - distance 297 km

In the west motoring from Cobar to Dubbo. Just an amazing day the sun was shining and the green grasses are as I have never seen in the west before. It has been so green right across Australia including the desert.

The fluro pink of our safety jackets makes us visible from afar. Looking at the  Expedition Book Bob Lamond has designed and printed is amazing. The information within gives so much insight and direction. Many of us are having the time of our lives. The sounds of our vehicles is sweet singing as we motor east. This expedition is so amazing and I am so happy I don't want to sleep and miss the fantastic times we are sharing.

The first crossing was hot and dry. This time 100 years later was first windy then wet  and so very very green. We have now passed by the flooded areas.

We arrived in Dubbo and were met by some enthusiests with their lovely cars to showus. A little later Happy Hour at the RSL Club and dinner.

Today John from Tasmania rang me to see if he could join us in the back ups and ride to Sydney with us. He decided even though he was in Tasmania for breakfast, why not fly to Dubbo and make a donation to our charities. We found John a place and he is coming to Sydney with us.
