Day 4 Mon 19th March
Kalgoorlie to Noresman - distance 187 km
Wonderful departure Monday morning from Kalgoorlie. It was still wet and cold and the official starters “Birtles/Ferguson” families were so cold and wet with the starter flag, that the locals purchased those warm gloves and some hot pies.
On the way to Norseman, young Oliver Wright was so cold and wet that a fellow patron in a service station was so sorry for him that he gave him his jacket. Upon arrival in the café in Norseman over a hot cuppa, Oliver Wright had to remove at least 3 of his 6 layers of jumpers before he could sit down. 6 layers? Another new record for our English Oliver?
